The price per cartridge ranged from 0.55 USD for standard 12-needle cartridges bought in bulk of 500 from a Chinese manufacturer, to 2.80 USD for premium 36-needle cartridges from a European brand. What stood out was that the price difference between cartridges compatible with the same dermapen model varied by up to 180 percent across suppliers.

Our assessment is that cartridge pricing transparency is poor in this market because many suppliers relabel generic cartridges. The practical tip is to buy a sample batch from three suppliers and compare the needle exposure consistency and packaging quality, because the cheapest cartridge is not always the best value when you factor in the rejection rate from inconsistent needle exposure.
